How to Be an Employer Women Want to Work For

October 24, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

In this presentation, Meaghan Ziemba will provide you with a checklist on how to be an employer women want to work for.
About this event

Currently, women represent around 30% of the overall manufacturing sector. A significant percentage of women graduating high school and college, or seeking new professional challenges, don’t typically have manufacturing top of mind. There seem to be some common misconceptions about the sector that deter women away from the opportunities available, including:

  • Lower pay;
  • Dirty, dingy, dark, dull, work environments;
  • Work-life imbalances;
  • Little to no promotion opportunities;
  • Non-fulfilling work that lacks challenging or interesting assignments; and
  • Frequent instances of sexual harassment and/or gender bias.

In this presentation, Meaghan Ziemba will provide you with a checklist on how to be an employer women want to work for.

Register soon–limited in-person availability! The event begins on Monday, October 24th at 5:30 p.m. CST with networking. AMA Madison members are free, non-members are $15 which includes beer and food.

Can’t make it in-person? Join us virtually! The virtual presentation begins at 6 p.m. CST. AMA Madison members are free, non-members are only $5.

Many thanks to our Craft Marketing sponsors: Winbound, Garth’s Brew Bar, and Spoken Frame Media!
