It’s true! I have met some of them and they are an impressive group. Our student members are eager to connect, learn, and contribute – and the benefits go both ways.
In the interest of supporting the next generation of marketers in our community, our Chapter has a dedicated board member serving as Collegiate Relations, VP. This role is currently held by Kevin Vollmer. He regularly meets with the AMA Collegiate Chapter at UW-Madison.
Our professional chapter regularly supports this collegiate chapter in a variety of ways, including advising, supporting case competition prep, and sponsoring “study breaks” during exams. We are always seeking ways in which to support these outstanding young people!
Intrigued? Here are a few ways you can engage to make the most of this partnership.
1) Presenter Wish List
The collegiate chapter is interested in offering programming focused on these topics during the 2025-2026 academic year:
- Marketing agency (creative or media) roles, ie account executive, creative director, media buyer, strategy lead
- Marketing consultants
- Performance/growth marketing
- Social media/influencer marketing
- SEO/Content marketing
- Product marketing
- Corporate social responsibility/purpose marketing
- Insights/Marketing research
- Entertainment/media marketing
Similarly, these are potential industries they would like to highlight:
- Tech
- B2B
- Healthcare
- Fashion
- Finance

2) AMA Collegiate Conference Volunteering
The annual AMA International Collegiate Conference (ICC) will be held this year in Chicago on March 12-14, 2026. With it being located so close to Madison this year, please consider serving as a judge, mentor, or other event volunteer. This is an AMAzing opportunity to build your professional leadership skills, connect with other professional volunteers from around the Midwest, and contribute to the development of the next generation of marketers. Complete the AMA Collegiate Volunteer Form.
3) Financial Support
The collegiate chapter requires financial assistance that exceeds what we as a professional chapter are able to provide. Sponsorships will be generously recognized for supporting activities such as:
- Sending up to 14 students to Case Competition at UW-Whitewater in October
- Covering travel costs for students to attend the AMA International Collegiate Conference (ICC) in March in Chicago.
For more information about any of the above opportunities, or our Chapter’s collegiate relations, contact AMA Madison’s Collegiate Relations, VP Kevin Vollmer.
