About the Presentation

When you work for a small association, you spin a lot of plates. You may be the event planner, the administrator, the membership coordinator AND the marketer. A marketing team? Forget about it. Resources and budgets are thin — even not existent! Your nonprofit’s marketing department may be small, but you need to think big when it comes to marketing!

Resourcefulness and guerilla marketing are the name of the game and bring the most bang for the buck. Association and nonprofit marketing are rewarding, especially when you sell out that event, grow membership or exceed fundraising goals.

Are you spinning plates? Put them down (carefully) and join Tony to learn five tips that help him and his team succeed when expectations are high, and budgets are low.

About the Speaker

Tony Veroeven, CAE – AMPED Association Management, Director of Sales & Marketing

Tony Veroeven, CAE is the Director of Sales and Marketing at AMPED Association Management. Since 2015 he’s specialized in marketing, strategic partnerships, membership and client relations, fundraising, development, and engagement.

In 2014, after a 20-year sales career, he joined the American Marketing Association Madison Chapter. He built upon his sales skills and delved into a modern and traditional marketing mix, including print, social, paid and earned media, SEO traffic, and content marketing. Joining AMA helped him immensely in this career transition.

Tony served on the board of AMA Madison from 2014-2022. He was the chapter’s President in the 2020-21 Program Year.

Early in his career at AMPED, he oversaw the successful deployment and management of an association’s online buyer’s guide and community. Under his guidance and leadership, the site’s sales increased by 141%, and its traffic nearly quadrupled in three years. Tony has developed and hosted four podcasts and produced another as part of that and other client work. A recent podcast about a niche engineering market reached 12,000 downloads in just six months.

He was recognized as the Wisconsin Society of Association Executives’ “2019 WSAE Visionary Award” winner for outstanding leadership and achievement in association management.

In 2022, he earned the highest credential in association management: the “CAE” or Certified Association Executive.

Tony currently serves as an Associate Director of the National Air Filtration Association and Executive Director of the Wisconsin Tavern League Foundation.
