January 2017 – The Two-Year Content Marketing Plan
Learn how one Wisconsin tech company has tripled its inbound leads by weaving quality writing, video, and UX-focused design into every phase of the buyer’s journey. Our speaker was John Jennings, Digital and Social Media Manager, Skyward. John is a marketing outsider, representing the new wave of content managers with heavy writing backgrounds and little-to-no formal marketing training. His primary function as Skyward’s digital and social media manager has been to establish an internal culture of transparency, empowerment, and risk-taking.
November 2016: How to Advertise in Popular Social Media Platforms
In this presentation, Brian Lee will demonstrate ad setup, including choosing objectives, demographics and budgets, in tools such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Plus, he will explain how to measure advertising efforts in Google Analytics. Our speaker was Brian Lee, president of Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media, which won a Dane County Small Business Award this summer. He also teaches social media part-time at Madison College, serves as a digital marketing specialist for the State of Wisconsin’s Business Intelligence Team and he’s the author of the book Using Social Media for Business. Brian is a past-president of PRSA-Madison and Ad 2 Madison, and he’s the founder of the annual joint networking holiday party that sees all the communication groups in town come together each December.
